Thinking about starting a small business?

Almost everyone has thought about owning his or her own business. Business Advisers of Cleveland (BAC) is an organization of retired business executives and professional men and women who want to help you to be a success.

BAC counselors are able to guide you through the steps that will help you reach this goal, but first you should think about a few important questions. By considering these questions in advance you will be better prepared for your meeting with us.

Preparing for your counseling Session

After discussing and thinking about these questions, write a one-sentence response to each. The examples given might apply to someone who wants to start a restaurant, but the questions apply to all.

  • What is your goal? (Example: be my own boss)
  • How do you plan to reach this goal? (Example: Open a restaurant)
  • What experience do you have? (Example: I love to cook)
  • What other skills do you need? (Example: Pricing, licensing)
  • How do you expect to get this help? (Example: Call BAC)
  • Is there a market for this business? (Example: I think so)
  • What is your first step? (Example: Make a business plan)

A first meeting with BAC advisers can help you clarify your ideas before you make your next move. Our members are willing and capable of helping you on the path to success - the sooner we meet the better.

The meeting, as is the case with all BAC services, is free. BAC has nothing to gain except the growth of our community by your success.

We hope you will contact us soon.
