Funding and Donors
By reason of its IRS rulings, Business Advisers of Cleveland is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3). It is not a private foundation and contributions made to Business Advisers of Cleveland are deductible by the donors in computing their taxable income in the manner and to the extent provided by section 170 of the 1954 Code.
Approximately 50% of our annual operating budget is funded by dues and donations from its membership, but additional financial assistance is necessary for continued service. Generous support has been provided by numerous businesses, as well as foundations and financial institutions, which recognize the importance of encouraging new entrepreneurs. However, every year counseling requests increase, as do expenses. Business Advisers of Cleveland is not affiliated with any governmental agency and receives no funding from any federal or state agency.
Being a nonprofit organization Business Advisers of Cleveland is required to file IRS form 990.
