How to Become a Member

It is Business Advisers of Cleveland’s objective to include in its membership all of the professional and business people who are willing to volunteer their time and talents towards this end. The organization has approximately 80 members and counsels over 300 clients annually.  Many members have spent their working career in the Cleveland area and look to this organization to volunteer their time to give back to the community.

Business Advisers of Cleveland also provides an opportunity to socialize and continue to learn through its monthly luncheons at the Cleveland Skating Club.  These luncheons have featured speakers in the past such as Mark Dodosh, editor of Crain's Cleveland Business, and Steve Gage, President of CAMP Inc. They meet the third Tuesday of each month except June, July and August.  The month of May Business Advisers of Cleveland holds its annual Awards Luncheon at Avon Oaks Country Club.  This luncheon is to recognize successful entrepreneurs and those on the road to success, which have been counseled by its members.

Persons who are currently employed or have retired from positions of responsibility in a business or profession are eligible for membership in the organization.  Members are asked to donate the established Annual Sustaining Contribution (dues), currently $250.  Dues and donations from its membership fund approximately 50% of the annual operating budget.  The remainder of its operating support comes from foundation grants, invested income, and gifts from corporations and friends.  Business Advisers of Cleveland does not receive any funding from any governmental organization or agency.

Business Advisers of Cleveland is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3).  It is not a private foundation and all contributions, donations and dues made to the organization are tax deductible.
